The platform in North China for the solar photovoltaic industry

China plans to have an installed capacity of 20GW of solar power by 2020, compared with 600MW at the end of 2010. To stimulate the necessary growths in the sector, the government has announced subsidies amounting to half of the contract prices for key solar equipment,as well as the creation of 13 industry zones for demonstrations of solar energy application in a bid to facilitate deployment of solar energy at the scale required to meet this target.
